— Nobility —Time was not kind to House Haillenarte before and during the shuttering of Ishgard. While its status grew into decline and its knights lost from the Stone and Steel Vigils, they became desperate for the strength to reclaim their honor. As such, they would become the sponsor for House Aumont which became a Vassal or Lesser House. The house adopted Haillenarte's symbol for themselves but with a twist: a gilded rose.

— Knighthood/History —House Aumont was considered for vassalage due to the discipline and strength of those who came from this family to serve under the Temple Knights. Their ancestor, Ezra Aumont earned knighthood by slaying an exceptionally savage Dravanian within the walls of Ishgard. Their presence as a formidable family of Knights was short-lived however: All but few Aumonts perished during the Dragonsong War.

A small and winsome woman, her stature belies her strength. From a line of Knights that specialized in close combat, she trained relentlessly to become the weapon she is today: Stalwart and unrelenting in her fury.Claire was a zealous and faithful believer in the Fury as a noble and knight, earning herself a coveted position as an inquisitor. Specifically, she hunted witches or at least those suspected of being heretical, and using Dravanian magic. To be hand-picked into this position was an unprecedented honor for not only one of her kind, but also one so young, and she recognized the grave magnitude of the duties and responsibilities bestowed upon her.Little records remain in regards to interrogations and executions committed by her after a bulk of the inquisitors were removed or resigned; investigation into the Holy See uncovered systemic corruption that would see the Church lose its political power and unchecked reign over the nation. A small sect of Inquisitors operated as sanctioned assassins and were summarily removed from service.The former Inquisitor folded into the Temple Knights and had found herself in the position of a Knight-Captain, leading her own section of personnel-- though she was ostracized and distrusted. It seemed the position was a token to placate the former Inquisitor. It didn't affect her in the slightest; she performed her duties with cold efficiency and without compromise.Eventually becoming a notorious group of Knights due to her ruthless nature, she and her team were volunteered to join the Ilsabard Contingent in saving Garlemald. She accepted the nomination on behalf of her squad. The events she witnessed there fundamentally and irrevocably changed her.Disillusioned with her faith she sought to be discharged from the service of House Haillenart and the Temple Knights, then lived and worked as a Knight Errant, taking on contracts to slay monstrosities.In more recent days she has found work at the Blackthorne Lodge to keep her occupied.
